Medical Rescue Training

Since methods, techniques, and technology change rapidly, we recommend refresher training for almost every course we teach. We recommend you take Medical refresher training, CPR and AED every year.

Rescue First Responder – 64 Hours, Prerequisite: Healthcare Provider level CPR and AED (Automated External Defibrillator) within one year of course and Rope and Confined Space Rescue to at least Industrial or FLUSAR Operations level.

Wright Rescue Solutions is a certified trainer with the Emergency Care and Safety Institute (ECSI). As such, we provide nationally-recognized Medical First Responder training within the scope of an active technical rescue team. This means that, instead of just sitting in a classroom and practicing patient care, we will also incorporate field activities that simulate technical rescues with medical emergencies. Rescue teams can practice the way they will respond. This course exceeds DOT curriculum for Medical First Responder training and is available in a Private Training format only.

Medical First Responder – 56 Hours, Prerequisite: Healthcare Provider level CPR and AED.

This is the ECSI First Responder program without the inclusion of technical rescue scenarios. It is intended for persons wishing to attain medical training only or for those that have not yet acquired technical rescue training. This course exceeds DOT curriculum for Medical First Responder training and is available in a Private Training format only.

Advanced First Aid / CPR / AED – 45 Hours, Prerequisite: None.

This new ECSI course exceeds OSHA requirements for Confined Space Rescue team members including such topics as airway management, splinting and bandaging, spinal injury management and so much more. It is Wright Rescue’s minimum recommendation for rescue team medical training. This course is available in a Private Training format only.
