A CMC original design that has withstood the test of time, our Anchor Plates keep the carabiners holding the different parts of your rescue system from jamming together. The hardware becomes easier to see, making safety checks more accurate. It can also keep you from clipping a carabiner into the wrong loop of the anchor web. For anchor systems, it makes an excellent collection point. We use the Anchor Plate in CMC Rope Rescue classes, which allows our students to set up systems faster with fewer mistakes.
Hole Diameters – Small: 7/8 in (22 mm), Large: 2 in (51 mm)
The Arachnipod is the world’s most versatile modular total edge management system (TEMS) and was recently awarded an Australian International Design Mark at the 2008 Design Awards. The Arachnipod is based on the concept of an industrial tripod. However, this product is much more than just a tripod. Components can be added or removed as required so that the Arachnipod complements existing structural or natural features. The unique design of the patent-pending modular head means the Arachnipod can be constructed into many different configurations, including a gin pole/monopole, bipod, tripod, quadpod, bridge system, and handrail recovery monopole. For heavy loads, an infinite number of additional legs can be fitted to increase the safe working load (SWL). Its versatility makes it an ideal system for workers in rescue and emergency services, construction, military, utility services, mining, film, and maintenance. Meets CE EN 795B standard for Tripod and Quadpod.
How It Works The Arachnipod, in its most basic form, is a simple tripod with three legs independently pivoting from an anodized aluminum head. The modular head has a similar design to a door hinge. Inserting or removing a pin through the center of the head allows the quick and simple addition or removal of components to create a configuration to suit any edge management scenario. Each head section contains a shackle.
The Arachnipod Advantage PLUS includes the basic Advantage Tripod system (Pulley Head and one swiveling rigging point) and adds a Gin Head, Rigging Plate, Quad Plate, and Reverse Head. A Quadpod system can be created by adding the appropriate Quadpod Add-On Kit to the base system. Weight: 60 lbs.
Systems that can be built from the Advantage-Basic
The APOD Accessory kit contains many needed options to use with the Arachnipod. Included are steps that allow the user to reach the top of the tripod after set-up. Spike feet for rough terrain. A rigging Equipment Bracket for control devices or auxiliary pulleys. Rigging Plates for stabilization. And much more Weight: 41.15 lbs.

Named for its origin in the rugged Red Rock highlands of northern Arizona, the Arizona Vortex Kit is a unique multipod that was created from years of experimental development. The Vortex represents the pinnacle of at-the-edge frames, which no standard multipod can match today. The recently improved Vortex Bag System allows a single rope technician to carry the entire Vortex Kit using our RigTech Pack™ and 2 redesigned Leg Bags.
The Harken LokHead Winch Kit (NFPA Technical Use) is a man-riding portable capstan winch specifically designed for confined space rescue retrieval or for use with davit systems using an unlimited length of life safety rope. The captive head allows the winch to be used safely, and keeps the rope from accidentally coming off the winch and releasing. The LokHead Winch Kit comes complete with everything needed for a tripod setup.
This power tool adapter allows users to run Harken winches with a drill, such as Milwaukee or Makita right angled drill. Fits all standard chucks.
Use with the LokHead winch kit for lifting goods or equipment only, not for human suspension. Not EN13157 compliant.
Available in three sizes, the PAW rigging plate allows the organizing of the workstation and setup of multi-anchor systems. The hole design allows ropes or slings to be threaded for direct connection. Made of forged aluminum, it offers an excellent strength-to-weight ratio.
Vinyl transport bag for storing and carrying your SKED-EVAC® Tripod (SK-700). Features heavy duty vinyl coated nylon material and an extra long zipper along it’s full length and across it’s ends to facilitate easy repackaging. It has a pocket inside in the center to store the bag of chain which comes with the tripod, preventing the chain from sliding to one end when the tripod is carried. There are handles in the center and on each end of the bag. This bag has a 9″ diameter and a 7’1″ length, and will make nearly any brand of tripod easier to carry. Made in USA.
The SKED-EVAC® Tripod extends to ten feet high at the three anchors which are available to clip into. Each of the anchors is anodized red for easy identification, and all are equally well centered to handle a load. The anchors, header and legs are interconnected with stainless steel bolts to provide maximum strength. The header limits the distance the legs can spread. When at full extension this tripod allows you to bring the patient in a stretcher completely out of the hole. It is rated to handle an NFPA rescue load. Included with the tripod is a chain which passes through the feet to provide greater strength and stability. The chain will not degrade in acids or chemicals like nylon straps or ropes. The legs are adjustable in 5″ increments, and Skedco provides safe working load data for each tripod height on each tripod. Brackets are available for mounting most popular winches. Made in USA.
Disclaimer: Skedco strongly recommends against attaching “change of direction” pulleys to the feet or legs of the Sked-Evac or any other tripod as pulling laterally against unsecured tripod legs is dangerous and could lead to injury or death.

SQUID is an innovative solution for twin tension rope systems (TTRS) and load-sharing applications. Its multi-planar design features a large attachment point for redundant anchoring and two perpendicular points for optimal alignment. SQUID efficiently brings two hardware devices side-by-side for dual operation and better shared tension. SQUID also sets ideal spacing between devices, allowing a single operator to maintain simultaneous twin tension control using dual-handle technique (aka “shark finning” or “DOUBLE CLUTCHING”). SQUID promotes safe and efficient rigging of dual capacity TTRS and provides smooth raising and lowering in mirrored and nested systems.
