Arachnipod Advantage PLUS Multipod Edge Management System

The Arachnipod is the world’s most versatile modular total edge management system (TEMS) and was recently awarded an Australian International Design Mark at the 2008 Design Awards. The Arachnipod is based on the concept of an industrial tripod. However, this product is much more than just a tripod. Components can be added or removed as required so that the Arachnipod complements existing structural or natural features. The unique design of the patent-pending modular head means the Arachnipod can be constructed into many different configurations, including a gin pole/monopole, bipod, tripod, quadpod, bridge system, and handrail recovery monopole. For heavy loads, an infinite number of additional legs can be fitted to increase the safe working load (SWL). Its versatility makes it an ideal system for workers in rescue and emergency services, construction, military, utility services, mining, film, and maintenance. Meets CE EN 795B standard for Tripod and Quadpod.

How It Works The Arachnipod, in its most basic form, is a simple tripod with three legs independently pivoting from an anodized aluminum head. The modular head has a similar design to a door hinge. Inserting or removing a pin through the center of the head allows the quick and simple addition or removal of components to create a configuration to suit any edge management scenario. Each head section contains a shackle.

The Arachnipod Advantage PLUS includes the basic Advantage Tripod system (Pulley Head and one swiveling rigging point) and adds a Gin Head, Rigging Plate, Quad Plate, and Reverse Head. A Quadpod system can be created by adding the appropriate Quadpod Add-On Kit to the base system. Weight: 60 lbs.

AZTEK ProSeries® System

As one of the most versatile tools in rope rescue, the CMC AZTEK ProSeries System reflects our philosophy of keeping rigging equipment simple, efficient, light, compact, and multi-purpose. Originally developed by Reed Thorne of Arizona-based Ropes That Rescue, the AZTEK (Arizona Technician’s Edge Kit) is used worldwide and offers more than 100 rigging solutions in a single bag. The CMC AZTEK ProSeries System is made in USA of US and foreign components.

This system now includes an updated AZTEK ProSeries Pack that has improved fabric durability, new reflective piping, and a fresh OD Green color. The pack is feature rich with 1000D nylon/Tarpaulin construction for abrasion resistance, mesh panel for ventilation and drying, Garage Pockets™ to protect cord, double-zippered top compartments, and tension lock buckles for carrying on the waist or thigh. Note: product videos may show previous pack model (no longer available in Coyote color).

Double CLUTCH TTRS Kits

Built around the versatile CMC CLUTCH™ by Harken™, our Double CLUTCH Twin Tension Rope System (TTRS) Kit provides best practice twin tension hauling and lowering for technical operations. This premier kit allows technicians to run two rope systems at separate anchors or nested together for side-by-side operation. Mechanical advantage systems can be assembled on both ropes simultaneously using the intuitive and force-limiting CAPTO™, including a 3:1, 3:1 with change of direction, 5:1, and 9:1. Organized and color-coded, this kit minimizes gear sorting and allocation. Teams can shoulder their packs knowing they are prepared to quickly and efficiently deploy TTRS.

Enforcer Load Cell Kit

This compact device can measure force up to 20 kN, and with two sampling modes, the ENFORCER LOAD CELL monitors systems and logs drop testing in high resolution. Along with unique features such as Bluetooth connectivity and swivel attachment points, the Enforcer stands in a class of its own.

Escape Artist™ System (Rope)

The Rapid and Reliable Means of Escape
The compact and efficient CMC Escape Artist™ System equips you with all the tools you need for a successful emergency egress, and allows hands-free operation to ensure a safe edge transition and controllable descent. The System’s flame- and temperature-resistant components include our new Flash.2™ Escape Anchor, 50 feet of ProSeries Escape Line and a Single-Brake Escape Artist, all compactly organized into a durable Fire Escape Bag constructed of Nomex® fabric.

Harken LokHead Winch Kit (NFPA)

The Harken LokHead Winch Kit (NFPA Technical Use) is a man-riding portable capstan winch specifically designed for confined space rescue retrieval or for use with davit systems using an unlimited length of life safety rope. The captive head allows the winch to be used safely, and keeps the rope from accidentally coming off the winch and releasing. The LokHead Winch Kit comes complete with everything needed for a tripod setup.

JAG SYSTEM

The JAG SYSTEM haul kit for pickoffs, making a releasable anchor, or tensioning a system, thanks to its 4:1 mechanical advantage and excellent efficiency (sheaves with sealed ball bearings). The collapsed kit is highly compact, allowing it to be used even when the distance to the anchor is very short. The JAG SYSTEM haul kit is quick and easy to deploy: it is ready to use thanks to the flexible cover that prevents any risk of tangling. The haul end is color-coded for instant identification. It is available in three lengths: 1, 2 and 5 meters.

LEVR™ Escape System

The LEVR Escape System is built around CMC’s patented LEVR Descender, a next-generation device that uses its lever-shaped handle for progressive descent control, fast and easy horizontal pay-out, reliable edge transition, and intuitive operation. Designed to assure rapid emergency egress with safe, controllable descent, this escape system is now offered with the option of either the gated Flash.G™ Escape Anchor or Flash.2™ Escape Anchor.

OREGON SPINE SPLINT II — International Orange

Choice of the U.S. Army, this spinal immobilization/extrication device is the only device of it’s type that meets all of the established criteria for immobilizing a seated patient. An ideal companion for the Sked® Stretcher System, when properly used the OSS II provides for safe removal of patients from injury sites without doing further damage to the spine. The unique criss-crossing shoulder strap design provides superior immobilization without restricting breathing and, for clavical fractures, can be re-configured to retract and immobilize the shoulders. The OSS II is designed to provide easy access to the patient’s chest or abdominal area for treatment or diagnostic procedures. It can be used in place of a conventional short backboard and as a hip or leg splint. The OSS II includes a shoulder board not found in similar devices, which can be used to prevent compression of the shoulders when using a flexible stretcher.

The OSS II folds into an extremely small package and slips inside a rolled-up Sked® Stretcher in its backpack bag, adding no volume to the Sked Rescue System package. When used with the Sked® Stretcher the OSS II ensures critical spinal rigidity during transport, whether carried or lifted. Available in International Orange or Coyote Brown with matching color carring case.
